PhotoSpace supports the promotion and education of photography as a valid art form. The service its provides includes sitting the gallery and promoting the artist.

Applications to exhibit may be made anytime during the year.

Applications that include traditional and historical photographic processes will be looked upon favourably.

PROPOSAL INFORMATION

Applications are to include:

  • Your name, address and contact details.
  • A current resume and artist statement.
  • A statement on the concept of the work to be exhibited.
  • Examples of work to be exhibited in jpeg format (maximum quality).
  • Preferred month of exhibition.
  • A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to confirm bookings.
  • Applications should be sent to P.O. Box 1612, Collingwood VIC 3066.

2007/2008 EXHIBITION FEES

The fee for a three week exhibition is $1,950 ($650 per week).

  • The exhibition fee covers:
    • Design and printing of invitations.
    • Preparation of a press release.
    • Email of invitations to subcribers on the PhotoSpace email list.
    • Postage of press release to media on the PhotoSpace media list.
    • Line listings in various publications e.g. Art Almanac.
    • Inclusion on the PhotoSpace website.
    • Inclusion on various other websites e.g. artwhatson
    • Hanging the exhibition.
    • Gallery staff to sit the gallery during viewing hours.
    • Credit card facilities.
    • Public liability insurance.
    • The use of wine glasses and platters on opening night.
  • The exhibition fee does not cover:
    • Postage for invitations.
    • Display adverts in art publications.
    • Catering expenses for opening night.
    • Insurance of artwork.
    • Commission on sale of artwork 20% - 30%.
